Dancing With the Wind

It was once a seedling
Fearing the wind, cowering under trees
It grew into a plant
Drawing strength from the soil, sparring with the wind
Then there emerged a tree
Dancing with the wind, sheltering the seedlings
And what was once a withering skeleton
Creaking and cracking under its own weight, struggling to match steps with the wind
Has now become a windy day memory
Restoring strength to its old turf, living and dancing on through the seedlings
